Heart of America Downs ERRFU Collegiates
Colleges - All-Stars

In collegiate all-star action this weekend at Infinity Park in Glendale the visiting Heart of America team won two matches over the combined Eastern Rockies/Rio Grande Union team.

Saturday's action saw the HOA team score six tries to ERRFU's three, but a major factor was the foot of Heart of America's captain and flyhalf Joe D'Agostino. Hitting conversions, penalties and a late drop goal, D'Agostino lead the HOA team to a 48-25 victory.

ERRFU Coach Jim Snyder said D'Agostino "really played well this weekend, organizing their side from #10 and keeping us off-balance with his foot he was strong for them."

Sunday's game saw both teams run out a few players who hadn't yet played on the weekend and again the HOA team would go out to an early lead they would never relinquish.

The final score of Sunday's game was 32-18 with D'Agostino again making an impact on the scoreboard with his foot coming off the bench.

Notable performances were put in from Arryn Wilkinson from Oklahoma on the Heart of America team and Colorado State University captain Nick Interdonato for the ERRFU side.

"This was a good weekend for the West RFU" said Snyder, "both teams had representatives from a lot of schools and quite a few talented guys, which speaks to the quality of play throughout the West."
