A 68th-minute try by wing Rhiannon Clark pulled the South Women College All-Stars ahead 10-7 in the 5th/6th playoff of the Women's National Collegiate All-Star Championships Friday in Glendale, Colo.

The South was matched up with the Mid-Atlantic after MARFU lost to the Pacific Coast in the Tier 2 semi Thursday. The South lost by a larger margin in their Tier 1 semi than did the Midwest, putting them in this game. The Northeast and Southern California did not attend.

Clark opened the scoring for the South with a try in the 16th minute. The Panthers held the 5-0 lead into the second half, which was a long time as the game was suspended during halftime because of lightning.

Twelve minutes into the second half MARFU tied the game when center and former Fairfax Police Youth rugby star Emily Fullbrook touched down. Flyhalf Elena Cantorna hit the key conversion to put the Sharks up 7-5.

But it wasn't enough, as the dangerous Clark, who plays her college rugby for Elon University, scored to give the South the win.
