WPL Round 2 Standings
Scores-Standings-Stats - 2011 Standings

The second round of the Women's Premier League has concluded, and all of this weekend's games were blowouts. All of the home teams won and the closest point differential was 32 points.

The All Blues kicked off the weekend with a 72-10 win over visiting Keystone, which had been riding high after a 19-7 victory over Beantown the week prior. Jamie Schukle led all point scorers with 21 points on two tries, four conversions and a penalty, while Kelly Griffin, Phoebe Boone and Vix Folayan logged two-try performances. With only Beantown left to play before after the bye week, Berkeley has established itself as the Blue Conference team to beat.

Beantown banked its first points of the season, getting the bonus point in a 50-0 shutout over the DC Furies. Katie Dowty has a tremendous day and scored four tries from the fullback position.

In the Red Conference, San Diego and Twin Cities are tied with 10 points apiece. San Diego dismantled the Minnesota Valkyries 81-7, and former Beantown center Emilie Bydwell accounted for six of the 13 Surfer tries. Wings Kristy Lear and Casey Fields ran in two tries apiece as well.

Back in Minnesota, the Amazons played New York to a 37-5 in the closest contest of the weekend. Fullback Ashley Mulford crossed the tryline three times to lead her team, while flyhalf Rebecca Radtke contributed 12 points off the boot. The league leaders will play back-to-back matches against one another in two weeks' time.
